Backup & Restore Whole System Ubuntu Crontab Rsync 1/8

This is part 1 of 8 of backing up and restoring a whole Ubuntu system. Backup is very critical for any production server. Here you’ll learn how. One of the benefits of RSYNC is that it is called an INCREMENTAL backup, meaning, you only backup your Whole Data once. Then after that, only the NEW FILES will get copied or old files UPDATED. This can be useful if something failed in your system during an Upgrade.

@luckyme247365 – sir, anu pong gamit niyong distro? Kung legacy driver naman, hold shift while booting, choose Linux Kernel 2.x.x-x (Recovery Mode) tapos drop to root shell, tapos launch niyo yung makukuha niyong driver from the internet,

    sh nvidia-driver.x.x-x.sh

By default disabled na po ang root account sa Ubuntu, you’re just using the Sudoer. :)

Thanks. :)

Thanks for the tutorial. It was helpful and it made me understand what crontab and rsync is. I have a similar setup and needed to know how to backup 2 of my servers that do not have graphical interfaces.
